City of Irvine - ADA Statement

Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act prohibits all state and local governmental agencies from discriminating against persons with disabilities and from excluding participation in, or denying benefits of programs, services or activities to, persons with disabilities.

To ensure that people with disabilities can fully participate in and benefit from the public services offered by the City of Irvine, the City prohibits discrimination against persons with disabilities

The City of Irvine ADA Compliance Officer who is located within the Administrative Services Department has oversight of the overall City and each department’s compliance with ADA II and Section 504:

In addition, an ADA II Coordinator has been established for each City department. Complaints, grievances, concerns or recommendations regarding public access to any of the City programs, services and activities should initially be reported to that department ADA II Coordinator who can immediately begin to resolve the matter.
