The USTA National Opens presented by the City of Irvine is a Level 2 junior tennis tournament held within the City of Irvine during Thanksgiving weekend. Over the past 12 years, the City has hosted this prestigious tournament. USTA National Opens is a series of tournaments played all over the nation every February, May, July and November to determine who plays in the USTA National Championships. The City of Irvine runs one of the National Opens in the Boys’ 14s, 16s, 18s and the Girls’ 14s divisions in November. Many of the top ranked junior players from all over the country come to compete in this tournament. Because of the limited draw, only the best players will be selected to play by the USTA. If you think you or your child’s national ranking is high enough, please visit the USTA tournament website and enter. If you want to see some of the best tennis from some of the next up-and-comers in the sport, come and watch the tournament at one of our great tournament sites. For more information, please contact assistant tournament director Victor Ranches at tennis@cityofirvine.org.
This year’s tournament is taking place from Thursday, November 25th – Monday, November 29th.
