The Redevelopment Department consists of three divisions: Housing, Planning and Redevelopment, and Energy and Sustainable Programs. The Redevelopment Department will be responsible for the development of the City’s newly adopted redevelopment project area: the Great Park.

The Housing Division is responsible for implementing the City’s Housing Strategy including the affordable housing component of the Great Park Redevelopment Project Area and meeting the requirements of the Redevelopment Housing Set-Aside Funds.

The Planning & Redevelopment Division is responsible for all current planning programs within the redevelopment project area, and implementation of the redevelopment plan to ensure the high quality design and development consistent with the City of Irvine.
