The following transportation services list has been compiled for residents in the City of Irvine. Irvine Senior Services provides this information as a service and does not endorse or assume liability for these public and private services.

General Transportation Services

City of Irvine
TRIPS Program
General Information (949) 724-7433
Service: Available to Irvine residents (18+) and senior citizens 65 years of age or older who are unable to drive due to a permanent physical and/or cognitive impairment. Enrollment for eligible use is required. The program currently has a registration processing period of up to 90 days for services that include: Door to door service, medical appointments, work, school, social, etc. Call for the availability for grocery shopping and Senior Center Shuttle Service.
Cost: Annual registration fee ($25 initial, $20 annual). $1.90 one way to any location in Irvine. Transportation to other areas is limited and costs range from $3.80 to $7.60 depending on location and distance. Senior Center Quarterly pass also available.

OCTA
OCTA Access

Give them your home address FIRST to ensure you live within their service area.

Service: Door-to-door van service for those unable to use the fixed bus route service because of a disability. Wheelchair access. Passengers must go through certification for eligibility.
Cost: Curb-to-curb service at pickup and destination = $2.25 each way
Door-to-door service at either pickup or destination = $6.25 each way
Door-to-door curb, curb to door at both pickup and destination = $10.25 each way

OCTA Route #175
OCTA Runabout - Route 175
General Information (714) 636-7433
Service: Regular bus for seniors, disabled, and students.
Area: North and South of Irvine, stops at Mobile home park and senior centers.
Cost: $1.25 Regular Fare, $.50 Senior Fare and persons with disabilities (Medi-Cal accepted).
Operating Hours: 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

OCTA Route #86
General Information (714) 636-7433
Service: Regular bus for seniors, disabled, and students.
Area: East and West of Irvine
Cost: $1.25 Regular Fare, $.50 Senior Fare and persons with disabilities (Medi-Cal accepted).
Operating Hours: 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.


Irvine Seniors Services Outreach Program
General Information (714) 724-6926 Monday- Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m: Fridays 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.
Service: Transportation is provided by Outreach volunteers for seniors who need transportation to medical appointments only.
Must be Irvine resident, apply to T.R.I.P.S or ACCESS, and have a consent and emergency form on file.
Note: Requests are limited to two times per month and require 48-hour notice.
Cost: No charge. Volunteers are not compensated for gas or mileage, but contributions are accepted to the Friends of Outreach non-profit organization.
Operating Hours for rides: Monday- Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.


Saddleback Memorial Medical Center

Western Medical Center

Service: Transportation arrangements made by doctor's office or nurse>
Wheelchairs accepted, advance notice requested.
To and from Western Medical Center in Tustin only.
Cost: With Doctor's authorization- NO CHARGE
Without Doctor's authorization- Patient Pays
